Floyd G. Cottrell has practiced law since 1984, representing clients in matters of bus and tractor trailer liability, premises liability, municipal liability, products liability, toxic torts, insurance law, litigation and appeals, and real estate law. For the past ten years, he has concentrated his practice on bus and tractor trailer liability issues, developing considerable expertise. Mr. Cottrell is recognized by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Trial Attorney. He is admitted in New York, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd and 3rd Circuits. He is currently the President of the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inns of Court of Essex County, New Jersey. Mr. Cottrell enjoys an "AV Peer Review Rating" from Martindale-Hubbell in recognition of his professional excellence, skill and integrity.
Mr. Cottrell belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Transportation Lawyers Association, and the Trucking Industry Defense Association. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School in 1983 and also holds a Bachelor's degree from Fordham College.
